America's Great Loop (AGL)

America's Great Loop "The Loop"

Loopers (those who are doing all or part of the loop) cruise the 6,000-mile Great Loop route aboard their own boats completing a circumnavigation of the eastern U.S. and part of Canada via mostly protected inland waterways. The Great Loop route follows the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway, the Chesapeake Bay, and the New York Canals northwards, goes across the Great Lakes, south on the Inland Rivers, and then east Gulf Coast to complete the Loop.

If you want to know more about AGL, check out the America's Great Loop Cruisers Association (AGLCA) web site www.greatlooop.org.

If you are interested in what it is like to actually be on the Loop, we have followed a few different loopers over the past couple of years. You can check out their YouTube channels below or just search for America's Great Loop - you'll find lots of videos.
