Returning To The Loop

Image
Boat time seems to have its own cadence; it is a slower pace but the constant moving makes the days pass quickly. All our planning is done in "day" increments which led to me calculate how many days had we been "off the loop". I was surprised to find it had been 54. We did do quite a bit of traveling in those 54 days (including our trip home to NH), but we are very happy to get back on the route and looking forward to our next big milestone of entering the Gulf of Mexico. Not too many pictures for this post as it was retracing our steps until we turned onto Yellow Creek near Iuka, MS (our 14th state). Leaves floating by the boat on Tellico Lake Sunrise on our last day before heading west Goodbye to the Smoky Mountains Passed lots of boat and engine companies - this looks like a model being released in 2025 Another glorious morning as we leave Lenoir City When you can't decide what boat to get :) Obviously a favorite spot for some type of bird Passing by Chattano...

Back To Our Adventure

We are going to take our time moving south, giving the west coast of FL as much time as possible to recover from the hurricanes. While we New Englanders know there is nothing like the fall colors of home, the foliage and weather in TN has been beautiful! We are enjoying a lovely, secluded anchorage on Lake Tellico tonight, this being our furthest point east before turning back and making the journey to rejoin the main loop route in Iuka, MS. 2024 Fall Rendezvous at Joe Wheeler State Park, Rogersville, AL 5 of us left Florence to get through the broken Wilson Lock on the way to the Rendezvous So happy t...
